PCP offers a variety of parenting workshops to enable parents to understand their child’s developmental stages and to develop strategies and skills that provide a strong foundation for learning and success in school. Classes offered will include:

Redirecting Children’s Behavior
Participants in this parent’s only workshop will learn strategies and techniques that enable their children to develop self-esteem and problem solving skills.
Math and Science Together
This workshop for parents and their child (three to five years) provides a fun introduction to math concepts and hands- on science experiments.
Reading and Writing Together
This workshop for parents and their child (three to five years) provides fun and important read-aloud, pre-reading and writing skills and strategies to try together.
Kindergarten Readiness
Parents have two options for participation in this workshop:
1. A two-session interactive workshop for parents and their soon-to-be kindergartener. Sessions focus on preparing the child for a successful kindergarten experience with ample time for parents to ask questions of their child’s school readiness.
2. A one-session workshop for parents only in which the materials from the two-session workshop will be presented and school readiness questions will be answered.
